New Roots
Refugee & Immigrant Support Program
“New Roots” is a comprehensive support program for refugees, immigrants, newly arrived families, and other underserved newcomer communities, aimed at facilitating their adaptation to a new environment. The project includes case management, legal support, career counseling, yoga classes, retreats for emotional recovery, and family events to build a supportive community. “We, immigrants, know well how hard it is to start from scratch in a new country, where the language is different, there are no familiar faces, no home, and no beloved job. It’s unbearable to walk into the unknown, having lost everything in a day because of war.”
